A one-time Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kebiru Adjoto, in a recent chat with Newsmen in Benin city, the Edo state capital, said, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, lost Edo state long before the 2024 Edo Governorship election, saying; "the handwriting has long since been boldly written on the wall, but many did not see it".
Rt. Hon. Adjoto who thanked the people of Edo state for coming out enmasse to speak their minds through the ballot, and decided on Senator Monday Okpebholo, said; "I warned some of those at the helm of affairs in the PDP, they failed to listen, thinking it will be business as usual, but they were abysmally disappointed".
Continuing, Adjoto who said; "you will recall that, I earlier told you that we went to PDP on a discovery mission, but we discovered nothing"? Also added that; "so also will those in PDP today, discover nothing".
"My advice to those in PDP, is that, the earlier they realize that Edo people has moved on, the better and faster it will be for them".
Rt. Hon. Adjoto concluded by saying; "the incoming governor, the Edo state governor elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is a God sent governor, on a specific mission to sanitize Edo state; he has seen all the ills in the state and I am sure he will use his quiet but intelligent strategies to untwine all the knotty problems confronting our dear state".
