Excluding 14 Constituencies From Governance, Is Outrageous, A Slap On Democracy
-Amb. Oriaifo
The Midnight inauguration of Edo state House of Assembly Members elect, where 14 members elect were schemed out of the so called inauguration, hence, 14 Constituencies were not represented in governance for a full term of four years, has been described as outrageous and a slap on Democracy.
The inauguration was so described by an All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain and grassroot mobilizer, Ambassador Odion Kessington Oriaifo, following the appeal recently made by Senator Adams Oshiomhole to the National Assembly,NASS, that the issue be revisited by NASS.
"In advanced climes and Democratic societies, issues like that, is an utopia. No one will ever imagine that such can happen; But here, some so called political leaders threw all cautions to the wind and assume they are some kind of gods. No wonder the National Assembly that tried to intervene to solve the problem at that time, but failed in their attempt, described the action of Obaseki's government in that scenario, as executive rascality".
Continuing, Ambassador Odion Oriaifo who thanked God that a level headed, humane and people focused governor elect is in the waiting to take charge of governance in Edo state, added that; "with Senator Monday Okpebholo as the governor of Edo state, all these rascality will be gone for good. Edo state is set to breathe some fresh air".
