Governor Okpebholo: Changing Edo State from a State of MoUs to a State of Massive Development By; Oriaifoh Godwins For many years, during the last administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki, public discourse around development in Edo State often revolved around Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), investment announcements, ambiguous and ambitious projections, which at the end of the day, there were nothing to show for all the MoU noise made. While such agreements are important instruments for attracting investments and fostering partnerships, the people of Edo state, ultimately judge governments by visible outcomes, such as completed projects, improved public services, jobs created, economic opportunities and so on.
