On Tuesday, 8th of April, 2025, the Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, held their stakeholders meeting, where all Tradomedical Practitioners in Edo state, came under one roof to brainstorm on the way forward for the Agency and Practitioners, just as the Chairman of the Board, High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, called on all Tradomedical Practitioners in the state, to come together as one.

The stakeholders' meeting, was held at the Festival Hall, of Edo state government House, Osadebey Avenue, Benin city.

In the meeting, the Chairman, TMB, said; "We are all aware of the fact that, traditional medicines practitioners in Edo State, are divided, not by purpose, but by associations, as we have different associations and groups, but I want to announce to us that, we all need to be under one umbrella of Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, because, united we stand, but divided we fall".

In his address, the Chairman of the Board, who said, the stakeholders meeting, being the first to be convened since his assumption into office, is very important and historic because, it will give the practitioners a broad picture of what Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, is set to achieve, also added that, all Tradomedical Practitioners in Edo state, must all work very hard to rebrand the image of practitioners in the state; saying; "...and we can achieve this, by saying only what we can do and doing same effectively.

"We must work very hard to erase the misinformation about tradomedical practitioners in Edo State, by fishing out the quacks and fraudulent ones amongst us.  Traditional Medicines Practitioners, are in the business of restoring the sick back to good health, not otherwise.  We are not ritualists".

Describing the body, as a United, Rebranded and Professional Edo State Traditional Medicines Practitioners, the Chairman, concluded by saying; "As a body, we will deal decisively, and according to the law, with the fraudulent ones amongst us, as we have zero tolerance for such people".
