Following the protests and several slogans orchestrated by some members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that followed the just concluded Edo state governorship election, an All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain in Edo Central, Chief Robert Okoinemen, aka Oduma of the Universe, in an exclusive interview with Winning Media Online, has pointed out that, the Edo state governor elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has come to sanitize the polity and every other sector of Edo state, of the many ills and anomalies committed by the outgoing governor of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

Responding to the allegations by the PDP, levelled against the APC of rigging the just concluded Edo state governorship election,  where Senator Monday Okpebholo, of the APC, emerged as the governor elect of Edo state, Chief Okoinemen said; "the members of the PDP should understand that, if you live in a glass house, you don't throw stones. They should realize that, as they are pointing one accusing finger to the APC, they are at the same time, also pointing four of their fingers to themselves".

"Now, they are all over the place, talking about stolen mandate. Who stole what mandate? Obaseki, at some point, stole a mandate from the APC, and delivered it to the PDP, at that time, they should have pursued the thief out of their home, rather, they gave him shelter. Now, Obaseki, the proverbial Leopard that does not change its spots, dealt with the PDP and eventually lost the battle and the war. Today, they are crying over the woe that they themselves caused"?

What mandate was stolen, and who stole the mandate? Chief Okoinemen asked.

Continuing, Chief Okoinemen who said, Obaseki is the specialist in stealing mandates, added that; "the members of the PDP cannot pretend not to know that Edo state local government election conducted by Obaseki, is a sham; have they forgotten so soon, the midnight inauguration of Edo state House of Assembly members elect where 14 members elect were schemed out of the so called inauguration, and 14 Constituencies not represented in government for four years? Have the PDP forgotten how some local government Chairmen and Councilors were summarily removed from office just because they are not PDP members? They should think twice before making unfounded allegations, as Edo people have since moved on".

Finally, Chief Robert Okoinemen, used the opportunity to invite all the members of Edo state Peoples Democratic Party, to the inauguration ceremony of Senator Monday Okpebholo, come November 12th 2024; saying, we in APC has long since activated our celebration mood. "We are celebrating, and we don't have any time for unfounded allegations". He concluded.
