NYSC LG Inspector, Visits Esan Central LG Boss, Commends Chairman 

...Announces arrival of new Corps members

The Edo State National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Local Government Inspector, Mrs. Edith Ebuehi, today,Tuesday, October 6, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Esan Central Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Abdullahi Momodu, to formally intimate him of the completion of service by the current batch of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members serving in the Local Government, adding that the new batch of Corps members posted to Esan Central Local Government Area are expected to arrive on October 20, 2026.

Receiving the NYSC Inspector, Chairman Momodu welcomed her and assured the NYSC of his administration's readiness to support Corps members serving in the Local Government. He  particularly expressed his willingness to assist in addressing the accommodation needs of the Corps members, noting the importance of providing them with a conducive environment to enable them discharge their national service effectively.


Hon. Prince Momodu assured the NYSC that his administration will continue to maintain a cordial relationship with the Scheme and give the Corps members the necessary support within the resources available to the Local Government.


In an exclusive chat with the NYSC Inspector, she commended Chairman Momodu for the warm reception accorded her and expressed appreciation for his willingness to support Corps members serving in Esan Central local government area.


Continuing, Mrs. Ebuehi described the Chairman's disposition towards the NYSC and Corps members as encouraging, stressing that such support will contribute to the welfare and effective service delivery of Corps members in the Local Government.


The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing their commitment to strengthening the existing relationship between the NYSC and Esan Central Local Government Area.

The Vice Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Health Izokpu, and Mr. Raymond Omomele, the National Union of Local Government Employee, NULGE, Chairman, were present at the meeting.

In company of the NYSC Local Government Inspector, are the outgoing Corpers Liaison Officer, CLO, Corper Adebomi Rilwan, Corper Obiora Chinaza and Corper Ahmed Nazeem.
