ECLG APC Leader, Political Appointees Join Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Leader in Esan Central Local Government Area, Hon. Prince William Shaka Momodu, alongside other political appointees, today, 26th September 2026, participated in the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise held across the Local Government Area.

The exercise, which witnessed the active participation of political appointees, was part of efforts to promote a clean, healthy and hygienic environment in Esan Central.


Speaking during the exercise, the Esan Central Local Government APC Leader, Prince William Shaka Momodu, said; "...the participation of political appointees in the environmental cleaning exercise, is a demonstration of their support for the administration of Hon. Prince Abdullahi Momodu, the Executive Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, and his commitment to environmental cleanliness".

Continuing, he said, a clean environment is desirable for the wellbeing of residents, stressing that political leaders and appointees must lead by example, by actively participating in initiatives aimed at improving the environment.


According to Prince William Momodu, the participation of the political appointees is not a one-off activity, assuring that they will continue to participate in subsequent monthly sanitation exercises. He further disclosed that the environmental cleaning exercise took place in every part of Esan Central Local Government Area, describing the development as an indication of the administration's commitment to ensuring that environmental sanitation is given attention across the Local Government Area.

The APC Leader called on residents to support the Local Government Chairman's efforts by maintaining clean surroundings and taking environmental sanitation seriously.


He noted that collective participation by residents, political leaders and government officials would contribute significantly to achieving a cleaner and healthier Esan Central.

Others include the Chief Security Officer, CSO, to the local government Chairman, Hon. Sammy Arabomen and the Personal Assistance to the Vice Chairman, Hon. Nature Okodugha.
