As the race for the 2027 Presidential election gradually gathers momentum, the Sustainable Development Mobilization Organization, SDMO, in support of Senator Monday Okpebholo Solidarity Movement, will formally be inaugurating their Grassroots Movement, on Friday, the 11th of September 2026 by 10:00 a.m. at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy, JOOPSA, New Civil Service Centre, Benin city, Edo state.

The inauguration of the grassroots movements will be Chaired by Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh, the Edo state APC Deputy Chairman, who is also the coordinator, Renewed Hope Ambassador, Edo state Chapter.


Speaking with Winning Media today, the coordinator, SDMO, Comrade Daniel Okojie, revealed that distinguished APC leaders, coordinators and stakeholders whose commitment continues to strengthen community engagement and mobilization across Edo state, will be honored during the occasion.


The coordinator, SDMO, also said; "...the street Door-To-Door Grassroot Mobilization is aimed at supporting the executive governor of a Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo in achieving the projected 2.5 million votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  the APC candidate for next year Presidential election".


"... We are poised to achieve the 2.5 million votes and we have marked out all strategies, one of which is the street grassroot mobilization that is to be inaugurated on Friday September 11 2026 and which is why the inauguration event is themed: Building Today, for victory Tommorow".

However, the state, has been witnessing questionable  pockets of criminalities in recent times.
