The Chairman of the Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, JP, has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on the occasion of his 56th birthday.

High Chief Ugbesia, in a Press statement signed by him, dated 29th August,2026, and made available to newsmen,  described Governor Okpebholo's birthday as a special occasion to celebrate a leader whose life has been characterised by humility, dedication to public service and an unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Edo State.


The Chairman commended the Governor for his purposeful leadership and passion for the welfare of the people, noting that his administration has continued to demonstrate a strong determination to place Edo State on the path of sustainable growth and development.


According to High Chief Ugbesia, Governor Okpebholo has, within a relatively short period in office, provided leadership that has renewed the hope of many Edo people and strengthened their confidence in the future of the state.


He particularly appreciated the Governor for his commitment to the resurrcitation of Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, and also recognising the board as partner in progress in medical delivery in Edo state. "That is a Governor of great vision..." The statement reads in part.


According to Chief Ugbesia, "the development of all sectors of the state, including the health and traditional medicine sector, has been a prime concern to Governor Okpebholo, who revived the Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, after several years of abandonment of the agency by previous administration".


"We in Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, remain committed to supporting the vision and policies of the Governor in ensuring that the traditional medicine sector is properly developed, regulated and positioned to contribute meaningfully to the health needs of the people".


“On behalf of my family and members of the Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, on the auspicious occasion of his 56th birthday".


“Your Excellency, your commitment to the welfare of the people and the development of our dear state is worthy of commendation. Your leadership has brought renewed hope to Edo people, and we are confident that the state will continue to witness greater progress under your administration".


“As you celebrate this remarkable milestone, it is our prayer that Almighty God will continue to bless you with good health, divine wisdom, strength and greater accomplishments in your service to the people of Edo State.” The statement reads.


Also, High Chief Ugbesia wished Governor Okpebholo a happy and memorable birthday celebration, and also prayed for many more years of the governor's fruitful service and fulfilment.


He called on the people of Edo State to continue to support the Governor and his administration in the collective effort to build a peaceful, prosperous and progressive Edo State.
