The Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, Rt.  Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, has revealed that all the other political parties decided to collapse their structures into the All Progressives Congress', APC, structure, because they have seen and are still seeing the work the governor of Edo state, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo is doing in less than two years of his administration.

Rt. Hon. Iyere made this revelation today, Saturday 11th July 2026 at his voting center, Ward 4, in Eidenu-Irrua, his country home, while speaking with newsmen, after casting his vote.


Advising all other persons that are yet to decide on who to vote for, Rt. Hon. Iyere said; "... We are blessed to have his Excellency Governor Okpebholo as the governor of Edo state. He is God-sent to Edo state. We have never had it this good from a governor".


In his message to the people of Esanland, Hon. Iyere spoke in Esan language, saying; "... I have delivered according to the message you sent to me. Our governor is working for the people. This is why you all come out to support his candidates. I plead with all of us to be calm and be patient. We will all benefit from the dividends of democracy. He concluded.


It will be recalled that on Thursday, the 9th of July 2026, during the APC Grand Finale Rally that held on the open field of the Okaijesan of Esanland Hall, in Irrua, Hon. Iyere pointed out that this local government election, will be a litmus test for the actualisation of the 2.5 Million votes promised by Governor Okpebholo for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, come 2027 Presidential election.
