INSECURITY: Where Is Our God? Where Are The gods?

Are we living in illusions?

Africans, especially Nigerians believe in the existence of a supreme being that created this world, every other world, and all the natural and living things therein. As Africans, we believe too, that, whenever we call on the supreme being we worship, he answers; this is the believe of all, irrespective of religion. However, the recent dare devil activities of the terrorists, particularly in the south western part of Nigeria, raises a lot of questions about the spirituality and even the modus operandi of the supreme being.

A quick look into the Bible, explains that we should expect all these evils as we approach the last days. This makes it difficult to ask Jehovah God: 'where are thou, as evil doers kill those that are gathered in your name'?


Since it was written, that, all we are seeing today, will come to pass, makes many of us to conclude that, all these happenings, are predictions coming true. It means the WORD, the Bible, is the TRUTH and the WAY. Can we still question Jehovah?


Some Moslems have condemned the terrorists saying,  terrorists are not Muslims, and that the heinous activities and crimes of the terrorists is not Islam, even when the perpetrators are seen in videos shouting Alahu Akbar (Allah is great) as they carry out their criminal activities. Again, it was reported that amongst the requests made by those that Kidnapped the school children and teachers in Oyo State is that, Oyo State government should implement Sharia law, in the state. 

Nigerians and the world at large, have seen some Islamic scholars quoting pronouncements from the Quran, especially those that has to do with killing anyone that is not on same page with them, as they target Christians and even Muslims, and Allah is not intervening, even as moslems are also slaughtered in their numbers?


As always, the almighty being is watching, even as all those that worship him in spirit and in truth are being slaughtered on a daily basis; even as we cry to him to save us, even as innocent children, including women and men are being terrorized on a daily basis; where is the supreme being as the blood of these innocent ones flood the streets?


Some traditionalists, (Isese worshippers) in Oyo State, were seen in a video calling on their Supreme being to intervene, deal with the terrorists that Kidnapped and took school children and their teachers into the forest, even after keeping them there for over three weeks now; yet, no supreme being is taking any action, even after a teacher was beheaded, and two others, shut and killed during the kidnap and a little girl in the Kidnappers' den, is reportedly dead.  Where is Songo? Where is Ogun? Why is Obatala not responding? Where is Esu, and all the others that we have been hearing about? Or are all those stories made up? Are those stories mere fairy tales? I have been asking the question: Why are all these supreme beings not striking these marauding terrorists with fire, thunder and brimstone? Or is it also written in their books that the world will experience this tribulation, as we approach the end of time?


As the terrorists unleash terror on peaceful, innocent and hapless people, in the name of carrying out whatever agenda, many adherents of whatever supreme being, are asking questions, and these questions may, in the long run, change the way people  perceive the supreme being they hitherto believed in.

In spite of the foregoing however, I am of the strong believe that: Whatever God has given us the power to do, he will not come down to do it for us.
