55 Years As Okaijesan, Ojirrua: Ugbesia Congratulates Ojirrua of Irrua

High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, JP, the Onagbonsoboleamen of Esanland, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Alhaji W. O. Momodu II, the Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom and Okaijesan of Esanland, on the occasion of his 55th coronation anniversary.
In a congratulatory message released to mark the milestone, High Chief Ugbesia described the monarch’s 55 years on the throne as a remarkable era of peace, dignity, wisdom, and selfless service to the people of Irrua Kingdom and the wider Esanland.
He said the anniversary was not only a celebration of the royal father’s longevity on the throne, but also a recognition of his enduring legacy as a traditional ruler who has devoted decades to the unity, stability, and progress of his people.
According to Ugbesia, the reign of Alhaji W. O Momodu II, has been marked by fatherly leadership, courage, and a strong commitment to preserving the cultural heritage and values of the Esan people. He noted that the monarch has continued to serve as a symbol of unity and tradition, while also supporting development and peaceful coexistence across the kingdom. "For fifty-five years, Your Royal Majesty has remained a symbol of unity, tradition, progress and stability, guiding your people with rare courage, vision and grace,” Ugbesia said in the message.
He further praised the Ojirrua for bringing honour to the throne of his forebears and for strengthening the pride and identity of Irrua Kingdom and Esanland through purposeful traditional leadership.
High Chief Abudu Ugbesia joined members of the royal family, the people of Irrua Kingdom, sons and daughters of Esanland, and other well-wishers in celebrating the monarch’s milestone anniversary. He also offered prayers for continued good health, wisdom, peace and strength for the royal father.
The 55th anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Alhaji W. O. Momodu, is being celebrated as a significant moment in the history of Irrua Kingdom and Esanland; highlighting more than five decades of royal service and leadership.
Alhaji W. O. Momodu II, who ascended the throne of his ancestors on 23rd of June, 1971, holds the revered titles of Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom and Okaijesan of Esanland, and is widely respected for his longstanding contributions to traditional leadership and community development.
