...calls on others to join

Edo state, just like the other states in Nigeria, has been facing several security challenges in recent time. Following the unabiting security challenges being faced by the state a public spirited political figure in Edo state and the current Chairman of Edo state Ecological Funding and Management Commission,Hon. Dr. Blessing Agbonmhere has joined security forces in Edo state to support their ongoing efforts in flushing out the terrorist, kidnappers, and other hoodlums out of our Forest.

Speaking in a viral video, Hon. Dr. Agbonmhere who challenged the different confraternities in Edo state to come all out in support of the fight against the criminals, also charged them that this is the time their expertise and temerity is needed as Edo state is facing security challenges.

Dr. Blessing Agbonmhere's advise, is apt and pragmatic, and in my opinion, the Edo state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo should consider this advice as one that will go a long way in keeping the fulani marauders and other such criminal elements at bay.

Watch video below 👇👇👇

These criminals are succeeding because they know that the people are not armed, and when they attack, the people run; but if they know that whenever they come to attack, they will be faced with fiearce, organized and coordinated defense that can send some of them to their makers, a number of them will have a rethink. As daring as they may appear to be, none of them want to die.

In view of the above, I strongly advise that every community in Edo state, in line with the suggestion of Dr. Blessing Agbonmhere, should come all out to organize themselves into some sort of self help security network. Everyone should be involved. If we all get ready to secure our premises, our streets and our community those hoodlums will get the right signal.

However in doing this, cutlasses, swords, even arrows and bows are not the right weapon needed to do the job; rather, people will need guns; whether short or long ranges are what we need to deliver.
