Ahead of the Yuletide, New Year seasons, the Edo City Transport Services, ECTS, is poised to provide top quality and reliable transport services to their esteemed customers. This development was revealed by the Chairman, Board of Directors, Edo City Transport Services, High Chief Robert Okoinemen, in an exclusive chat with Winning Media, on Tuesday, the 2nd of December 2025, after rising from a meeting he held with critical stakeholders of the organization, where issues relating to repositioning the organization for efficiency and effectiveness was discussed.
Speaking, Chief Okoinemen said; "Edo City Transport Services, ECTS, has come a very long way. As a team, the management is poised to take the organization to the next level".
"...we will leave no stone unturned in providing quality service to the people of Edo state, and all our customers at large".
Chief Okoinemen who also described the meeting as "highly engaging and deeply visionary", added that; "throughout this festive season, we can guarantee that our customers will experience a top-notch service, even as we have also laid out clear plans that will guide our expansion and innovation, beginning from the first quarter of 2026".
"...I can tell you that, the members of the Board, as well as Management team of ECTS are commited to actualizing the vision of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, who has expressed his plans, and determination to build a modern, efficient, and reinvigorated public transportation system".
Chief Okoinemen assured that, the new vehicles that Governor Okpebholo has bought, and will be provided for ECTS, will be put to excellent and strategic use to expand capacity, elevate service delivery, and enhance the daily commuting experience of the people of Edo State. He revealed that, he has received firm assurances from the Management team that they will complement each other, support all strategic initiatives, and work in unity to ensure that ECTS become a model public service institution that delivers the true dividends of democracy to the people.
Chief Okoinemen however concluded by saying; "....before the end of the coming year, Edo people will begin to witness remarkable improvements in transport and allied services that are consistent with the mandate given to us by the State Government".
