... Esan Central LG Boss, Appreciates God

It was an assembly of Community and Party Leaders, Councilors representing different Wards of Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, members of staff of the local government area Council and party fateful, as Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, the Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, held a thanksgiving service, to thank God for his emergence as the Chairman of the local government, and for God's guidance all through the one year of his holding the position, even as he said; "...my emergence as the Chairman of Esan Central Local Government Area, wasn't by my effort, knowledge or status, but clearly by the grace of God".
The Thanksgiving service, held on Sunday, the 28th of December, 2025 at St. Mathews Catholic Church, Eidenu-Irrua.
In his sermon, the officiating Minister, Rev. Father Nicholas Oboh, who emphasised on the need for us to always thank God for his goodness and mercies to us, also added that; "when we thank God for what he has done for us, we unlock more doors of blessings from God".
In his extemporized speech in the church, Rt. Hon. Iyere said; "....it was God that made it possible for me to be the Chairman of Esan Central Local Government Area, and I have come to return all the glory to God".
Also speaking, Hon. Barr. Anselm Ojezua, one of the Community leaders in Eidenu, and the Chairman, Board of Governors of the College of Agriculture Ogiarekhi, commended the local government Chairman for recognising and appreciating the fact that, God made it possible for him to be Chairman of the local government area, hence his appreciation of God for his grace and mercy.
Other personalities present at the Thanksgiving event, include, Hon. Deacon Willy Shaka Momodu, the Esan Central, All Progressives Congress, APC, Leader, Hon. Roland Ason Ekeoba, the Esan Central, All Progressives Congress, APC, Chairman, Hon. Farouk Ehimegbe, and Hon. Clement Inegbe, both APC Chieftain.
Councillors representing different Wards of the local government, including Rt. Hon. Famous Aihinoria Ebanehita, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Abhulimen Okpiahior, Hon. Itute Edosa, Hon. Solomon Onuwabhagbe, and Hon. Isaac Onoigboria, representing Wards 1, 9, 7, and 8 respectively, amongst others.
Also, Heads of Department, HoD's and staff of the local government, including Mrs. Rita Ogun, the Head of Local Government Administration, HoLGA, Mrs. Christiana Egbele, the HoD, Environment, Prince Ede Igiehon, HoD Planning, Mr. Akhilomen Christopher, HoD Socials, Pst. Oiwoh Anthony, HoD Revenue, Comrade Ujadughe Ebanehiloh, HoD Agric, Mr Gaius Obiyan HoD Procurement, Mrs. Mariam Momodu, HoD Information and Barr. Ehizoyanyan, HoD Legal.
The Secretary to the local government area council, Pastor Davies Oigbochie and the Special Adviser, Hon. Sylvester Edokpiawe were also present.
