Esan Central LG Boss Rolls Out Projects Executed In 10 Months
...hails Gov. Okpebholo’s achievements… says “I borrowed a leaf from your lofty vision”

Rt. Hon Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, the Chairman of Esan Central Local Government Area, has hailed Governor Monday Okpebholo's sterling ability to make the people of Edo state have a feel of practical governance by executing people oriented projects to ameliorate the pains of the people of the state, a phenomenon he describes as “a positive deviation from the old order”.
Rt. Hon Iyere so commended Governor Okpebholo on Friday, 28th November 2025, while addressing the mammoth crowd that graced the occasion of the commissioning of 44 lock-up stores, a project he executed in Irrua market, Eguare-Irrua of the local government area.
Speaking, Rt. Hon Iyere who itemized scores of projects executed by the governor of Edo state just within one year of his being in office said “… in a bid to borrow a leaf from your lofty vision of making Edo state great, and the urgent need to beautify rural populace in terms of enhancing trade and commerce, I swiftly commend the process of the construction of this project and many others for the great wellbeing of our people”.
Continuing, Rt. Hon Iyere also pointed out that the old structure of 22 lock-up stores was obsolete, dirty and not befitting for the modern age, hence, he thought it wise to give it a facelift. The Chairman commended Governor Okpebholo for demolishing and rebuilding the entire market, an ongoing project, and also prayed that God give Edo state governor the grace to actualize his vision of taking the state to a higher level, just as he made it clear that a new Edo state is rising.
Rt. Hon. Iyere also announced that amongst the several other projects executed by him, including the construction of a block of six classrooms, toilet and underground Well at Eguare Primary school, Opoji, Construction of a Perimeter Fence and Security Post in Agua Primary school, construction of a Staff Quarters at Ujabhole Primary School, renovation of a block of three classrooms and a Headmaster’s Office, as well as the provision of furniture at Ibhiohulu Primary school, renovation of two blocks of two compartment pit toilet water closet in Esan Central Local Government Council Secretariat, supply of LT concrete poles, installation and stringing works at Ikekato Eidenu, remodeling of the Health Center in Eidenu, provision of Cassava Grinding machine for Idumebo community and a host of other ongoing projects.
The newly built block of 44 lock-up stores in Irrua market, by the Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, was commissioned by the Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo who was represented by Edo APC Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe.
In an exclusive interview with Winning Media, Rt. Hon. Iyere disclosed that, he has no choice but to follow in the footsteps of Governor Okpebholo, saying; "... The one year practical governing style of His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, has clearly proven to the people of Edo state, that, a new Edo state is indeed rising".
"If our governor could achieve this in one year then you can imagine what he will achieve in 4 years and of course, in 8 years. This is a positive deviation from the old order”. He said.
Eminent personalities present at the event include; the Deputy Chairman of Edo state APC, Hon. Sylvester Oigboboh, the Edo Central Senatorial District Leader, Gen. Cecil Esekaigbe, Rtd. The Esan Central APC, Chairman, Hon. Ason Ekeoba, The Majority Leader, Edo state House Assembly, EDHA, Rt. Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu, the Edo State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Lucky Eseigbe, all the Members of the Legislative Arm of Esan Central Local Government area, the Secretary to the Local Government area, Pastor Davies Oigbochie, Palace Chiefs from the Okaijesan of Esanland, who represented the Ojirrua of Irrua and Okaijesan of Esanland, and a host of several others.
