The people of Edo state has been called upon to support Governor Monday Okpebholo's call for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reelection, come 2027, as the call is the wisest decision that can be taken by the people, so as to avoid the mistake of the past.

The call was made by High Chief Robert Okoinemen, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Edo City Transport Service, in a chat with some Media men in Benin.

Speaking, Chief Okoinemen, said; "we are all hailing His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo's efforts today, because of the various Infrastructural and human capital developments that are evident everywhere. We have seen the flyover under construction at Ramat Park, in Benin, even as a second one is underway in Sapele Road axis. We have seen the work ongoing on Benin/Auchi highway, despite the fact that the road is a federal road. We have seen the full employment of over 5,000 teachers for our schools..." All these progress, Chief Okoinemen said, are  made possible because of the alignment of our governor with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Continuing, Chief Oduma pointed out that, the investments that Governor Okpebholo is making today, in Infrastructure, Education, Agriculture, Health and in other areas, will definitely go on, with continuity at the federal level, saying;  "A change in leadership at the federal level, will definitely disrupt it, pointing out that, this was exactly the case during Governor Godwin Obaseki's administration.

Chief Okoinemen who also said; "...to sustain the ongoing efforts of Governor Monday Okpebholo that we are all benefitting from today, and also attract more investment, a Federal-state cooperation, that will boost investor's confidence, must exist". He added, that, "states that aligns with the federal ruling party, often find it easier to secure national programmes, grants, allocations and policy support. Therefore, supporting  President Tinubu for re-election will help Edo state obtain favourable positioning".

Finally, Chief Okoinemen said, since Governor Okpebholo assumed office in less than a year ago, Edo state is already one step forward, he therefore advised that we will be taking five steps backwards if we by whatever error, fail to continue to align with the federal government. "Asiwaju 2027, should be a must in Edo state". He concluded
