Red Cross Society To Decorate Esan Central LG Boss, As Patron

Today, Wednesday, 3rd September 2025, the leadership of the Red Cross Society of Nigeria Esan Central Division, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Esan Central local government area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, to formally inform him of the plan of the society to confer him as a Patron of the Nigeria Red Cross Society.
Speaking, Mr. Christopher Aitimon, the Esan Central Division Coordinator, said; "We are here to formally notify you that a Division of the Nigerian Red Cross Society has been inaugurated in Esan Central, Irrua".
"The Branch have found you worthy of this honor; for you are a man of integrity and transparency, with high ethical values. You are a man of thought and reflection, a messenger of peace, a man of wisdom and discipline, with an enviable antecedence, a transformation strategist and a great planner. An incorruptible Honorable that always conducts himself with utmost decorum and dignity; a peace maker with negotiating acumen, a visionary leader, an epitome of kindness, honesty, sincerity and faithfulness...".
"We have been working with people to make the world a safer place. Sir, join us today and support our work".
"To this End, my Hon. Chairman sir, Permit me to humbly, respectfully and joyfully inform you that the Edo State Branch of the Nigeria Red Cross Society have directed me to inform you of our intention to decorate you as a Patron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society..."
In his response, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere, the Esan Central local government Boss, thanked the society for finding him worthy of the investiture, as the Patron of the society, and also promised to look into the the request they made with respect to securing an office space in the local government area, adding that, a convenient date will be communicated to the society when the investiture ceremony will be held.
Members of the Society that were present in the office of the Chairman, include ; Mr. Aitimon, the Branch Coordinator, Mr. Izibilli Godswill, the Division Secretary, Mrs. Okojie Christiana, the Health and Care Adviser, Edo State Branch and Mrs. Awe Olanike, the Deputy Coordinator.
Others include, Mr. Ediale Aikhomu, the Disaster Management Officer, Aikponkhalea Ekpen, Assistant Coordinator, Finance and Resource Mobilisation, Mrs. Ighalo Juliet, Youth and Gender, and Mrs. Uwadiale Patient, Health and Care.
