Motorbikes Given To Security Corps, Are Strictly For Security Purposes

The Chairman, Edo State Chapter of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, has warned that motorbikes recently provided to the Security Corps members, by Edo state government, are strictly for security purposes, not for personal use, adding that, the governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who provided the motorbikes, is passionate about riding Edo state of kidnappers, cultism and other related crimes, so the people can live in peace.
Rt. Hon. Iyere said this in an exclusive chat with Winning Media Online, after he presented one hundred motorbikes to Edo Central Corps members in the ceremony that held at the Irrua Police Area Command.
Speaking, Rt. Hon. Iyere, who began by thanking Governor Monday Okpebholo for his gesture to the Security Corps, and his passion in ensuring a safe and secure Esan land, and Edo state, also pointed out that, Senator Okpebolo has been in the business of ensuring that lives and properties are safe. He said; “…when Atanakpa Security Network was formed, even when he was not yet a Senator, he massively contributed in finance, and donated Sienna vehicles to the security network”.
“Today, he is Continuing in same light. I must thank him immensely”.
“By the special grace of God, comparatively speaking, Esan central local government area is safe, but we can make it safer by introducing and intensifying on various security measures, and that is exactly what our governor is doing”.
Rt. Hon. Iyere, who maintained that a peaceful environment is very important for any meaningful growth and development to drive. Finally advised the Security Corps members not to handle their business of going after kidnappers cultists, and other criminals with kid gloves, saying; “…the efficiency and effectiveness of the Security Corps, is what will encourage the governor to do more for them”.
It will be recalled that on Friday, 12th of September 2025, Rt. Hon. Iyere, on behalf of the governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, handed over one hundred motorbikes to Edo Central Security Corps members.
