Esan Central LG Council, Vice Chairman, Sworn Into Office

Today, Monday 29th September 2025, Hon. Nicolas Selo-Ojemen, was sworn into office as the Vice Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area Council, Edo state.
The swearing in ceremony held at the conference hall of the local government secretariat, and was conducted by the Head of Department, legal, Barr. Ehizoyayan.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman, Esan Central Local government area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, pointed out that the constitution demands that the office of the Vice Chairman should be occupied; “…Hence, we are here today to witness the swearing into office of Hon. Nicolas Selo-Ojemen, as the Vice Chairman, Esan Central local government area...”
After his swearing-in ceremony, the new Vice Chairman, Hon. Ojeme, who thanked the governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the Edo Central Senatorial Leader, Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe, Rtd., for giving him the opportunity to serve as the Vice Chairman of the local government area, also promised to work harmoniously with the Chairman of the local government area, in ensuring that the dividends of democracy gets to all nooks and crannies of Esan central.
In an exclusive chat with Winning Media Online, Hon. Nicolas Celo-Ojeme, who described the Chairman as a “capacity chairman”, hailed the efforts of the Chairman for the various projects he has so far executed in Esan Central local government area, saying; “…I will leave no stone unturned in supporting him to move our local government area to higher level”.
