The day-2 of the two days activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Edo State Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, and the African Traditional Medicine day, that held on Thursday the 28th of August 2025, at Imaguero Secondary School Hall, Benin City, witnessed the collaboration of the Igbabonelimi dance troupe, exclusive entertainers of the Esan people, and the Bini Traditional dancers where the glee, the beauty, the sight and sound of the two traditions from the perspective of entertainment were displayed to the admiration of guests, is best described as Bini/Esan entertainment 'collabo'.
The event marking the 40 years anniversary of the board started on Thursday the 28th of August with a road show and ended on Friday the 29th of August at in marguero secondary school hall where some persons that have contributed to the group of the board and the practice of traditional medicine in adult state where honored would awards of recognition.
Those that received awards include the Edo state Commissioner for Health, Hon. Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, a one time Chairman of the Board, Hon. Dr. Sylvanus Eruaga, a one-time Vice Chairman, High Chief Dr. Abere, and a host of several others.
Also, two members of staff of the Board, Mrs. Uwaifo, and Mrs. Bridget Imobhio, were also given awards of recognition for their selfless service to the Board.
Present at the event, are Chief Dr. Chris Igene of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Dr. Moto kassim, The Provost, Edo state College of Health Science and Technology, HRH, Ibrahim J. Miss, the Odijiami of Ebirra Community, representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Education, and a host of others.
