Mallam Gani Audu, the Chief of Staff, CoS, to Edo state governor, has commended the group, Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria, BBIGN, describing the group as a formidable one, especially bearing in mind that BBIGN mainly focus on sensitizing the people at the grassroots with respect to the programmes and policies of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hon. Gani Audu, made this comment when some members of executive of the group paid him a courtesy visit on Monday 15th September 2025, to formally intimate him about the programmes of the group, aimed at supporting the All Progressives Congress and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.

Speaking, the Edo state Coordinator of the group, Hon. Comrade Oriaifoh Godwins, who thanked Mallam Gani Audu for the reception he accorded to the group, also hailed the Chief of Staff for his consistency in politics from when he was a member of Edo state House of Assembly, to the position he is currently holding as the Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor.

Also, Hon. Comrade Stanley Okpugie, the National Director of Rules, Ethics and Protocols of the group, explained the Mission and Agenda of the group, BBIGN to the CoS, adding that the group is mainly concerned with sensitizing the people at the grassroot of the need for them to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Initiative and also the All Progressives Congress' programmes and policies.

Responding, Hon. Gani Audu, who informed the group that, he was actually out on an official assignment, thanked the BBIGN team for their visit, and and patience. He commended the Initiative of the group, saying; "this group is a laudable one. When the people are aware of the need for good leadership, of course, everyone will participate in the political process".

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu started from zero, zero, zero level. I believe Tinubu is the most sincere of all the Presidents we have been having in this country".

"Amongst all the candidates that contested with Tinubu in 2023, he still stands out. We need to exercise some patience with him. It is laughable when I see some people that ruled Nigeria from 1999, to 2023, criticising President Tinubu. To repair the damage done to the country over several years, is not an easy task. I don't expect that to be done and completed in two years. There is no point deceiving ourselves, the country was already going bad before Tinubu came on board.

Honorable Gani Audu who cited instances of the bold steps of removing the subsidy, that was hitherto, a scam, the Introduction of the students' interest free loan, the coastal road project, and a couple of other initiatives introduced by Tinubu, added that, if Nigerians are patient for all the initiatives introduced by President Tinubu to mature, it will go a long way in changing our narrative.

Concluding, Hon. Gani Audu said; "I like to work with this body, BBIGN, so we can together, take the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots, especially bearing in mind that our governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has promised 2.5 million votes from Edo state, come 2027 Presidential election".
