Explaining how strategic the election is, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyalenhimi Iyere, said the All Progressives Congress, APC, is in control at the local government levels, in Edo state, we are in control in the House of Assembly, and in the House of Representatives, so, why should the Senate be an exception”? He asked.
The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, was the one occupying the seat of the Senator representing Edo Central; he only left the seat to come and demonstrate what practical governance is, hence give clear examples to every other political representative on how to govern and ensure that the dividends of democracy gets to everyone; and he doing this effectively. In view of this, the APC cannot afford the lacuna of progress and development, if Edo central Senatorial seat should go to any other party”.
