Esan Central LG Boss, Supports EDSOPADEC Reps, Donates To Support Widows

The Chairman, Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Ainiyelenhimi Iyere, on Thursday, 17th April 2025, donated a cash sum of N200, 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) to support the widows empowerment initiative of Hon. Linda Aliu, the Esan Central representative at the Edo state Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, EDSOPADEC, who convened a meeting of the women and widows in Irrua, the headquarters of Esan Central Local Government Area, to support them in cash and kind to ameliorate their burdens.
The event held at Emeri Vida Hotel, Irrua.
Speaking, the Chairman,who commended the efforts of Hon. Linda Aliu for her initiative in empowering the widows and women in Esan Central Local Government, called on other well to do, and highly placed people in and outside the local government, to emulate the initiative of Hon. Linda Aliu, saying; "...our widows should not be abandoned in the scheme of things, they should be carried along, our widows shouldn't be abandoned".
The Chairman donated a cash sum of N200, 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) in support of the empowerment initiative of the Esan Central local government's EDSOPADEC representative.
