Esan Central LG Gets New Special Adviser
On Monday 10th of March, 2025, Hon. Edeopkiawe Sylvester was sworn into office as the Special Adviser to Esan Central Local Government, ECLG, area of Edo state by the Chairman of the local government area, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere Ainiyelenhimi.
Speaking, during the swearing in exercise, the Chairman, who congratulated the new Special Adviser to the local government area, on his appointment, also urged him to be diligent and steadfast in the discharge of his duties as the Special Adviser to the local government, saying; "...as the local government area where the governor of Edo state hails from, we must at all time show good examples to others to follow. In view of this, we must not fail to do the needful, whenever the need arises..."
The Chairman, who also used the opportunity to hail Governor Monday Okpebholo's outstanding landmarks in less than six months of his administration, described Senator Monday Okpebholo as a trailblazer, that must be copied by all political appointees, and representatives in Edo state, saying; "that is the only way we can show our appreciation to the governor for his genuine efforts in positively changing the narrative of Edo state for the better..."
In an exclusive chat with Hon. Edeopkiawe Sylvester the new Special Adviser to Esan Central local government area, he thanked the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for finding him worthy to occupy the exalted position of the Special Adviser to the local government area, adding that; "with Senator Monday Okpebholo's sterling leadership examples, and his practical governance style, nothing short of excellence should be expected from me, in supporting the efforts of Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere Ainiyelenhimi, the uncommon Chairman of our local government area.
Hon. Edeopkiawe Sylvester concluded by saying; "in line with the mantra of Governor Monday Okpebholo, a new Esan Central Local Government Area, is definitely rising with the new Edo state that is rising".
Present at the event, are Deacon Willy Shaka Momodu, All Progressives Congress, APC, Leader, Esan Central local government area, Hon. Theophilus Oseigba, an APC Chieftain, and former Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ayemere Obaluyi, Kester Ekaniyere, Youth leader of Ward 10, of the local government, and a host of other APC Chieftains.
Others include the Secretary, Treasurer and Legal Adviser to the Local Government, Mr. Oigbochie Davies, Mr. Emma Ehiwele, and Barr. Samson Okhuelegbe respectively.
Hon. Sylvester Edokpiawe, is a native of Ugbegun, Ward 10, of Esan Central local government area. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration, (MBA), a B.Ed in Management & Education, and a Diploma in Health Education. He was a Councilor that represented Ward10. He was also a one time Special Assistant to the Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, from 2004 to 2007.
