By Odi Okojie Media Team
As Esan people search for a credible replacement for Senator Monday Okpebholo in the Senate, having been sworn in as Governor of Edo State, the question on the lips of many people is, what are those jostling for the position bringing to the table?
By the same token, members of political parties whose members are aspiring to fly their party flags in the election are also asking, what are these aspirants bringing to the table for our political party in the contestation for the Edo Central Senatorial bye-election?
One aspirant that has been able to prove beyond any doubt that he's bring the dividends of democracy to Esan land and its people is the incumbent member representing Esan South-East/Esan North-East federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
Odi Okojie, a first termer in the House of Representatives has been able to etch his name among the power players in the House and through contacts made in past years has been able to brake into the power brokers in the House. These has paid off thus far as he's presently the Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources, Mid Stream. He has used this position to ensure the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries, the operationalisation of the Dangote Refinery, while the rehabilitation of the Kaduna Refinery is ongoing.
He has used his position in the House to attract lots of projects to his constituency, moved several motions and sponsored bills for the establishment of several federal institutions in the old Agbazilo federal constituency. These bills have passed the second readings.
So, Hon. Odi Okojie is bringing his drive for grassroots development where he intends to bring these his contacts within and outside the National Assembly to bear.
To his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Odi Okojie is bringing his winning streak to bear in the election and give victory to the party in the contest.
Odi Okojie is the first member of the APC to win election to the House of Representatives in Edo Central Senatorial District.
Like Governor Monday Okpebholo who elevated the APC to Edo State Government House from the Senate, Hon. Odi Okojie is poised to uplift the APC from the House of Representatives to the Senate in the Senatorial bye-election.
Support, nominate and vote Hon Odi Okojie for Senate, Edo Central Senatorial District.
