Odi Okojie Congratulates SUBEB Chairman, Onome Briggs

The member representing Esan South-East/Esan North-East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Odi Okojie has congratulated Onome Okpebholo-Briggs on her appointment as Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) by Governor Monday Okpebholo. 

Okojie who is a frontline aspirant for the Edo Central Senatorial race, described Briggs' appointment as a square peg in a square hole noting that she will bring her wealth of experience in the management of private schools to bear in the management of the board's resources; adding that her upbringing will upscale probity and accountability in the administration of the state resources in the basic education sector.

"I wish to heartily congratulate you on your appointment as the Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

"Your appointment as helmsman of SUBEB attests to Governor Okpebholo's determination to put square pegs in square holes and enthrone a regime of robust probity and accountability in the utilisation of public resources by bringing on board those who can think outside the box. Your upbringing, educational attainments and experience in the management of private schools lend credence to this.


"Am confident that you'll turn things around in the management, supervision and administration of the basic education sector in the state", Odi Okojie noted.

Onome Okpebholo-Briggs, the newly appointed Chairman of Edo SUBEB hails from Uromi in Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
