The fear and respect for the "Esan Ebakota Political Accord" has now become the beginning of political wisdom for serious politicians and political office seekers in Edo Central Senatorial District.

This democratically and time tested phenomenon is the rotation of elective political office, more particularly the Senatorial seat and the two House of Representatives seats in Edo Central Senatorial District of Edo State.

While the Senatorial seat rotates between the old Agbazilo and Okpebho federal constituencies, the two House of Representatives seats rotates between the local government areas in both federal constituencies.

By this Ebakota agreement, the Senator to represent Edo Central Senatorial District in the 10th Senate is to come from Agbazilo federal constituency. By the same token, Esan North-East is to have it's turn for the slot, since Esan South-East had its turn in the 7th and 8th Senate, between 2007 and 2015, which was occupied by Senator Magnus Odion Ugbesia from Ubiaja.

Though some very few individuals, because of pecuniary benefits wants to stand logic on it's head by attempting to supplant this beautiful plan of Ebakota agreed by the entire Esan people with untenable arguments, but the majority of Edo Central voters are insisting on the non distortion of this agreement that has thus far brought political cohesion to Esan land and its people.

This is why members of the Esan North-East chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are united behind Hon. Prince Odi Okojie in his quest to clinch the slot now that it is their turn by Ebakota agreement to produce the Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District. They have demonstrated this unity of purpose by putting their house in order and ensuring that Odi Okojie is the sole APC aspirant from the Local Government Area. Apart from this, Odi Okojie is humane, with a philanthropic disposition and with unabated penchant for the development of his federal constituency, which he will replicate in the entire Esan land when given the opportunity to seat in the Senate.

All well meaning Esan sons and daughters have also thrown their weight behind this time tested Ebakota agreement to strengthen the unity of Esan land in the realisation that giving the Senatorial slot to Esan North-East will entrench political discipline and cohesion in Edo Central Senatorial District and will further enhance the ability of Esan people to always speak with one voice now and in the future.

Support, nominate and vote Hon Odi Okojie for Senate, Edo Central  Senatorial District.
