A New Chairman, Esan Central Local Government Area, Emerges

Following the impeachment of Hon. Paul Iyoha, the former Chairman of Esan Central Local Government ECLG area, on Tuesday, the 31st of December, 2024, by over two-third majority of the Legislative arm of the Council, an event that held on the floor of the hallow Chambers of the Council, today, 2nd January 2025, a new Chairman, Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere Ainiyanlenhimi has been sworn into office as the new Chairman of the Local Government Area.
The swearing into office of the new Chairman, that held at the Conference hall of the local government council, was conducted by the head of the legal service of the local government area, Samson Okhueleigbe.
Speaking with a team of Journalists, the new Chairman, Esan Central local government area Rt. Hon. Kelvin Iyere Ainiyanlenhimi, while expressing his gratitude to the entire Councilors of the local government area for the confidence they reposed in him to occupy the hitherto vacuum that existed in the council, said; "we all know that, no vacuum exist in governance. The interests of the people must at all time be met by their political representatives. This is why after the impeachment of the former Chairman, the Councilors found it expedient for another person to immediately occupy the position, hence my emergence as the new Chairman, and consequently, my swearing into office today, after taking the oath of office".
It will be recalled that, earlier, all the Chairmen of Local Government Areas in Edo state, were suspended by Edo State House of Assembly, EDHA.
Also, a new Secretary to Esan Central Local Government Area, Hon. Oigbochie Eromonsele Davis, was sworn into office by the Chairman, after taking the oath of office.
Speaking, immediately after his swearing into office, the new Secretary, thanked the All Progressives Congress, APC, Leader, Esan Central local government area, Hon. Deacon Willy Shaka Momodu, the Chairman of the local government area, and the entire leadership of the party for finding him worthy of the position, and promised to make the party, and the people of Esan Central local government area proud as he discharge his duties.
