As Edo state awaits the inauguration of the governor elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his Deputy, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa, to be sworn into office in a couple of days time, and as Nigeria also look forward to experiencing a peaceful country that will create the right atmosphere for economic growth and development, two books, authored by Dr. Blessing Agbonmhere Esq, titled: 'For Our Common Good', and 'Nigeria's National Security Challenges', are set for public presentation on Monday, the 11th of November 2024, in Benin city, Edo State.
The books will be presented at the Protea Hotels, Benin city, by 5:00pm prompt.
According to the author; "...the relevance of the books at this time, in the history of our dear state and country, cannot be overemphasized, as we are about to witness a new era in the governance of Edo state, that will be people focused, for our common good, and not just a government of showmanship. In view of this, we all need to support this government that will be a pace setter to other state governments in Nigeria, as the incoming administration, will return the lost glory of Edo state".
"In same vein, it is no longer news that for some years now, Nigeria has been battling with several security challenges that must be tackled headlong, so we can maintain the position that God placed us as the giant of Africa"
Finally, Barr. Agbonmhere who said the presentation of the books will be an avenue for the cross fertilization of ideas on good governance, also used the opportunity to invite all to the public presentation of the books.
The foreword of one of the books, 'For Our Common Good' is written by the Edo state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Emperor Jarret Tenebe.
