Gen. Cecil, A Rare Politician, A True Esan man
...I am not surprised at his stance

Following the Press statement recently released by General Cecil Esekhaegbe, an All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader in Edo Central, where he declared that he has achieved his Primary Political Objective and that he does not intend to be a godfather to the governor elect, Ambassador Odion Kessington Oriaifo, has hailed the people's General, saying, he is a rare politician and leader.
Ambassador Oriaifo who made this commendation in a phone interview with Winning Media Online, said; "... from every indication, Edo Central will show a very good example in Edo state, as to how governance should be, and General Cecil is taking the lead in this wise..."
"Going by the content in the Press statement, General Cecil, has clearly demonstrated that, he is a leader in a class of his own, unlike what we are used to in Nigeria polity, where some leaders have turned themselves to godfathers, General Cecil made it abundantly clear that he does not intend to be a godfather to the governor elect, as he wants the governor elect to focus on governance, and be a governor of Edo state indeed..."
"The General's relentless effort in ensuring that we got an Edo governor of Esan extraction, is exemplary, and shows he is a true Esan man..."
"...I doff my hat for him, though, I am not surprised at the stance he is taking, because by his training as a soldier, he says exactly what he means and mean exactly what he says. His type are very rare to come by, we are lucky in Esanland to have him as a leader".
Concluding, Ambassador Oriaifo added that; "if other political leaders in Edo state should follow this great example laid down by General Cecil, Edo politics will experience some sanity".
