As Edo state prepares for the September governorship election, the indigene and residents of Edo state, has been warned to be weary of a sweet talking candidate with nothing, but audio promises that will again lead to regrets and sorrows, saying; "...the nonpayment of salaries for the Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants, appointed by Obaseki, over nine months ago, is a strategy to make those appointees to go all out of their ways to do everything legally and criminally possible to ensure that his anointed candidate, Asuelimen Akintunde Ighodalo, win the upcoming governorship election".
The above warning, is coming from the Deputy Director, Contact, of the Edo Central All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council for the Edo state guber, Chief Robert Okoinemen, aka Oduma of the Universe.
Chief Oduma said; "Governor Godwin Obaseki, is like a Leopard that will never change his spots. He will continue to play on the intelligence of gullible Edo people. All the SA's and SSA's he appointed nine months ago, has not been paid a dime, and this is strategic. Obaseki will pay them when it is a couple of days to September 21st, and thereafter, dump them, as he is a specialist in the act of using and dumping people".
"The nonpayment for these people, is deliberate. It is very possible that, when it is a couple of days to the voting day, he will then pay them in bulk, to make them happy and more zealous to his cause of ensuring victory for Ighodalo. This strategy, is to make them to see the election as a do or die election, on receiving the bulk payment. Edo people should not forget that, Obaseki recently declared that, the election will be a do or die election".
"Some of us have since bursted the strategy behind his nonpayment for these appointees..."
"...when I say, zughu-zughu, zagha-zagha, not many people understand exactly what I mean, but that expression is beginning to make some meaning to many that has been following the political beat in Edo state ".
In view of the foregoing, Chief Oduma said,the people of Edo state must not allow any scammer to use and dump them again, as there is no difference between Mr. Godwin Obaseki and Asuelimen Akintunde Ighodalo, his godson, that he is trying frantically to impose on Edo people.
