A group, the Association of Commodity Market Women and Men of Nigeria, Edo state Chapter, that scheduled it's inauguration ceremony to hold on Thursday, 25th of July, 2024, has postponed the event, as they cited Insecurity in Edo state as the reason for the postponement.

The postponement was announced yesterday, Wednesday 24th July, by the Iyeki of Edo state, Pst. Mrs. Josephine Ibhaguezejele, at the Summit of the members of the group that came up at the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benin city.

Speaking with the members of the group, the Iyeki, who is also the APC Senatorial Woman Leader in Edo state, said; "...it has become necessary for this event to be postponed, especially bearing in mind that eminent personalities in the country, including the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Folashade Ojo Tinubu, were expected to grace the event, and we don't want what happened to late Inspector  Akor Onu, that was one of the Policemen attached to Senator Monday Okpebholo, Edo state APC gubernatorial candidate, to happen to any of our members".

Continuing, Pastor Mrs. Ibhaguezejele thanked all the members of the group for their steadfastness, passionate and active participation in the affairs of the group, saying a new date for the inauguration ceremony, will be announced soon.

Through the collaboration of the Iyeki of Edo State with a wide range of stakeholders, Mol Company, the manufacturers of several phone accessories, were present to share some of their products, including power banks, ear piece, phone chargers and chords to members.

Mr. Onyeka Moka, the Regional Sales Supervisor for Mol in the South -South of Nigeria, who represented the company at the event, used the opportunity to talk to the group about the products of his company, saying Mol has over forty products of outstanding qualities in the market, as their products are the best anyone can find in Africa.

In an exclusive interview with Winning Media, Mr. Moka said; "...we are also here to support the candidate that is coming in for the party; with Mol and the party, it's a good merger, and I believe at the end of the day, success will be achieved..."

In a chat with a team of Journalists, the Iyeki of Edo state, however announced that, the Summit for Edo Central and Edo North chapter of the Association, will follow, adding that the empowerment of the members of the group will also come up very soon.
