*EDO APC PCC MEDIA AND PUBLICITY HOLDS MEDIA CHAT WITH JOURNALISTS IN BENIN CITY ON TINUBU/SHETTIMA PRESIDENCY 2023*

_Chides Gov. Obaseki on Security and lack of infrastructures in Edo after 7yrs in office._
Members of the Edo APC Presidential Campaign Council (EDO PCC), Media & Publicity held their weekly interactive sections with Journalists in Benin City to sensitize them on the group’s mandate for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential bid.
Addressing the Journalists, the Chairman of the Edo APC PCC Media and Publicity, Mr. John Mayaki expressed confidence in the election victory of Sen. Bola Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima as President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He sought the cooperation of the Media to partner with the APC and Edo PCC Media and Publicity to achieve the mandate of the Committee to campaign and promote ‘The Asiwaju Project’ as President of Nigeria in 2023.
Speaking, he extolled the qualities of the APC Candidates in the coming election especially Sen. Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima who he said were carefully selected to bring the desired changes needed in Nigeria presently. He said Tinubu is the Hope of Nigeria and the man that will fix Nigeria problems and put the country on the path of prosperity. That the antecedents of Asiwaju Tinubu has been a bold statement to convince the people to give him their votes in the election.
Furthermore, situating Sen. Bola Tinubu’s achievements in and out of government, no doubt, towers him above his co-contestants in this election. Using the phrase, “tell the World what you have invented; but first show it”, he described Tinubu’s achievement in Lagos State as eye mark performances glaring to all, saying that Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State built the foundation for the modern Lagos which has grown to become the 5th largest Economy in Africa today.
Explaining further, he spoke on some unique projects of Tinubu as Lagos State Governor to include the multi-billion Naira project of the Atlantic Ocean which was tamed by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to put to stop the persistent flooding of Victoria Island by the Ocean. Also, the Electricity Project of Enron Corporation initiated by Asiwaju which however was not allowed to see the light of day by the Obasanjo/Atiku government.
Adding to the discussion, some members of the group including Nathaniel Osamede, Dennis Eribo and Barr. Dan. Osa-Igbegie and Austine Osaghae unanimously agreed that Sen. (Asiwaju) Bola Tinubu is the man to beat in this election claiming that he is better prepared and positioned for the job of President of Nigeria.
For Nathaniel Osamede, the performance of Tinubu as governor of Lagos State will be replicated in Nigeria and so he appealed to Edo people to embrace and key in to the Centre in Nigeria Politics.
On his part, Engr. Dennis Eribo was confident that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu posses the requisite ability to think out of the Box and is equipped with financial intelligence to bring prosperity to the nation. It is this administrative ingenuity that Tinubu will export to the Centre as Nigeria President when elected in February 25, 2023 stating that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a smart and intelligent leader who is highly politically savvy, and is known to easily identify Talents who are productive and sagacious, to build formidable Team in achieving success in governance, he said.
Comrade Nathaniel Osamede took a swipe on Gov. Godwin Obaseki who he described as the “MoU” governor over the security challenges in Edo State. He said that all his supposed projects in Edo State which are bandied on social media are mostly Phantom Projects and Gov. Obaseki continue to promote these phantom projects to the amazement of Edo people.
Speaking further, he said unlike Tinubu Successors in Lagos State, Obaseki jettisoned all Economic Plans put in place by his predecessor in office H. E. Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, like the Storm Water Project which was designed to control erosion in the inner city of Benin. That the intra city roads of Benin City have all become unusable with most parts of Benin metropolis becoming inaccessible while Obaseki is fixated on betraying the trust of Edo people.
Whereas Gov. Obaseki is more interested in media propaganda for his phantom Projects and MoU, the security situation in Edo State has become worrisome and leaves more to desire. Some Communities have been sacked in recent months by Herdsmen while Terrorists and Kidnappers are carrying out Blood bath in most parts of the state. The rate of Ritual Killings has also become alarming. Benin - Ekpoma Road has become a dreaded road to travel due to Kidnappers activities. We use this medium to advise Gov. Obaseki to wake up to his responsibility of securing the lives and properties of Edo State citizens, he concluded.

While appealing for support for Sen. Bola Tinubu, the APC Presidential Candidate and Sen. Kashim Shettima, his Vice-Presidential Candidate, they advised that Edo People should consider these qualities; Capacity to deliver on promise, Competence of the Candidate to vote for, and Courage to take hard decisions to take Nigeria to the NEXT LEVEL of Prosperity and Progress.
