Ugbesia Celebrates APC, Akpakomiza/Denco Election Victory

Following the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the polls in the September 21 Edo Governorship election, and the victory of Senator Monday Okpebholo, aka Akpakomiza, and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa aka Denco, as the governor elect and Deputy Governor elect respectively, an APC super leader in Esan central local government area of Edo state, Chief Abudu Ugbesia, the Onagbonsoboleamen of Esanland, invited all APC stalwarts and apologists to celebrate the victory of his party and candidates.


The event took place in his compound at Aforkharia quarters in Ibore, Esan Central local government area, on Thursday, 26th October 2024.


Speaking at the event, High Chief Ugbesia said; "I invited you all to come and celebrate with me today, because, I asked you to vote for Senator Monday Okpebholo, and you all did as I said, which eventually led to our overwhelming victory . This is my way of thanking you for listening to me, and taking my advice".


In an exclusive chat with Winning Media Online, after the event of hosting all that assembled in his house to celebrate the victory of the APC in the election, Chief Abudu said; "I am Celebrating this victory of Akpakomiza today, because when some person's left us to join forces with Obaseki, I remained in APC because I am a party man and I believe in an original Esan man to be the next governor of Edo state". 


"The Edo Central Senatorial seat that has never been won by APC before, Akpakomiza won  it for APC. Again, he came out to contest for the position of the governor, and he won despite all the criticisms against him. Now we have APC at the federal and state levels..."


"Now that Senator Monday Okpebholo is the governor of Edo state, we the people of Esanland can now be sure of development, as Akpakomiza, knows the people. He is not a stranger to the people of Esanland".

Continuing, Chief Ugbesia said, Senator Monday Okpebholo, promised to bring back to life, the Ugbalo-Ibore water project, that in those days, was providing water to the entire Esanland and up to part of Edo North, but was abandoned by several past administrations. "this is good news for us, because we know he will surely fulfill his promise. He doesn't talk much, and whatever he says, he will do".

As the Celebration of the victory of Senator Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa, the governor and deputy governor elects respectively continues, so also the incumbent administration of Mr. Godwin Obaseki that has been in office for close to eight years now, winding up to hand over to a new administration.
