A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, and currently the Director, Data and Intelligence of the Akpakomiza Support Group, for the 2024 Edo Guber, Dr. Goddy Osa Igbaekemen, has emphasized that, after party primaries  campaign funding is should be a collective responsibility.

Dr. Igbaekemen made this clear in an exclusive chat with Newsmen in Benin, Edo state recently.

He said; "our intelligence findings reveals that, our ongoing campaign for the 2024 Edo Governorship election, is under funded, as the various campaign groups are engaged in self-help sponsorship or at most, skeletal activities to ensure success of our party".

While appealing to party leaders and other critical stakeholders, to support the APC campaign strategies so as to ensure the  success of the 2024 Edo guber, Dr. Igbaekemen said; "... it is also important to note that campaign funding is a collective responsibility to ensure the success of our party in the coming election". Dr. Igbaekemen appealed to the leadership of the party and it's candidates, to do the utmost needful to ensure a complete success in the election.

Continuing, Igbaekemen said; "our intelligence gathering, also revealed that in less than 45 days to the election, the APC campaign bill boards and posters are being destroyed by our adversaries".

Dr. Igbaekemen who lauded the efforts of the very few party leaders and others who are taking the bull by its horns in their respective domain, by using their personal funds, in mobilising people at the grass root to demystify the propaganda and strategies of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo state, also appealed to others to follow suit"

He expressed his optimism that campaign funding will definitely take a center stage in the days ahead; he also advised and warned that, such funds must be judiciously used to ensure the success of the All Progressives Congress in the 2024 Edo guber; an election he described as "an all important election".
