The victims were released after spending nearly two months in captivity following the initial attack on May 15, 2026. The development was confirmed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, as well as the Oyo State Police Command. Reports says, a joint effort by military personnel and Department of State Services (DSS) operatives secured the victims' freedom in the early hours of today.
