Kidnapped School Children, Teachers, in Oyo state, Regain Freedom All 39 pupils and seven teachers abducted from three schools in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been successfully rescued and freed. The victims were released after spending nearly two months in captivity following the initial attack on May 15, 2026. The development was confirmed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, as well as the Oyo State Police Command.
