The Senator representing Edo central at the National Assembly, NASS, who is also the All Progressives Congress, APC, Candidate in the upcoming Edo governorship election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has emphasised that, Edo people should get ready for a new deal of partnership in progress when he becomes the governor of Edo state, saying; "...a new Edo is rising, and we will work our talks..."

Commenting on the storm that was rising in Edo APC, Senator Okpebholo said; "...some people saw it as divisive, but it is actually a unifying phenomenon that eventually made our party to come out stronger, as a united force ahead of Edo governorship election coming up in September..."

The APC Candidate made this known  recently, in an exclusive interview with Winning Media, after President Ahmed Bola Tinubu offically presented him with the APC Party flag.

Continuing, Senator Okpebholo who emphasised that, from the outcome of the APC Primary in Edo state, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the entire leadership of the All Progressives Congress aptly demonstrated that the APC believes in, and practice the tenets of democracy,  added that; "...the new Edo will witness a truly representative and responsive government".

It will be recalled that, earlier on Monday, 18th September, 2024, shortly after President Tinubu presented him with the APC flag, Senator Okpebholo made it clear that he has been providing free transportation to the people of Edo central, he has dug boreholes in several communities in Edo central, awarded scholarships to a number of indigent students, and also contributed immensely to the security architecture of Edo central, many of these, he said, the governor has not been able to do for almost eight years of his administration. As far as I am concerned, he concluded, we are coming with a new deal for the people of Edo state.
